So I haven't written for a while simply because I haven't had time, not that I haven't wanted to. Back in June I made the decision to trade in my corporate office gig for...well...Boogers n' Beers. LOL But seriously, what does this mean? I now run a home daycare out of my home with my newly retired mom as my co-worker. Boogers during the day and one modest beer to finish my day off in the evening. I loved my career as a Pharmacy Contract Analyst however I love my kids more. I spent an average of 3 hours a day just driving. Between multiple drop offs at daycares...(yes plural daycares) to then fight my way downtown to the office and repeat the morning routine at precisely 4:30. Most days not getting home until after 8 pm as we would skip going home and head straight to that nights activity...girl guides, swimming, soccer, etc. I loved working with kids and this seemed to be the most logical solution. So here I am, 6 months into my home daycare adventure and so far so good. Don't get me wrong, there has been many bumps and hiccups along the way as we adjust to our new home gig. Not everything has been peaches n' cream but the added time I get to spend with my kids makes any new challenges worth it!
